Hypnotic / Dub Techno & Hardgroove
About
Observance's sound lives somewhere between deep, dubby, hypnotic techno and hardgroove. Lately spending a lot of time with the catalogs of Feral, Luigi Tozzi, Adam Pits, Lars Huismann, Luar, Rill, Symbolism, and Yan Cook.
His sonic universe incorporates bouncy, loopy textures infused with booty house, percussive grooves, and chopped-up vocals shaped by time in Argentina, México, and Brasil. It all bleeds into how he thinks about energy and movement. Whatever he's playing, the goal is always the same: make it feel good, make it feel free, and never take it too seriously.
His ethos: community raves are a tool for collective safety, and the dance floor is a sacred site of transformation.
